Common Troubleshooting Questions

Why does the scanner say it is unavailable?

VisionKit document scanning requires camera access. Check iOS Settings > img2pdf and ensure Camera access is enabled. If you are running on an older iOS simulator that lacks a physical camera, scanning is disabled by the operating system.

How do I grant Photo Library permissions?

Open your iPhone Settings, scroll down and tap img2pdf, select Photos, and choose either Full Access or Limited Access to allow selecting pictures.

How do I reorder pages before exporting?

On the main Pages screen, simply press and hold any thumbnail, then drag it to your desired position. You can also tap Select in the top navigation bar to move groups of pages to the beginning, end, or after any specific page.

How do I change the page size between US Letter and A4?

Tap the document size subtitle beneath the title on the Pages screen, or tap Save PDF to open the export settings. Under Page Setup, choose between US Letter, A4, or Original image dimensions.

How do I protect my PDF with a password?

Open the Export Settings sheet by tapping the document settings or Save PDF, enter your desired password in the Password field, and tap Export. The generated PDF will require that password to open in any PDF viewer.

Where can I find previously exported PDFs?

Tap the Recents tab at the bottom of the app. All previously generated documents are stored locally with title, page count, and file size. You can search by document name, rename, share, or compress them.
